anyway, i'm one and if you are one too i'm sure you know all about the 7 reunion shows in nyc that sold out instantly which resulted in a little tour thrown together and what not.

well, the new york shows kick off on march 22nd and today i found out that they are playing a warm up show here in town at a couple hundred capacity little club (i.e. hole in the wall) under a different name on march 14th. they are going by the name mr. crowes garden, which they went by before being called the black crowes.

why am i posting this here, i don't know. i was pretty pissed when i couldn't get tickets to any of the nyc shows so this more then makes up for it.

that?s all, continue on with the myspace discussions.

I saw The Black Crowes in a small club in Houston TX before they even hit it big with the Shake Your Money Maker album....Funny thing is, I don't think Chris Robinson has gained weight since then..LOL!!!

Ya know, isn't there a certain amount of time a band has to actually be broken up for before they can get away with a "Reunion Tour"??? These guys have only been gone for MAYBE 3 years. Lions came out in 2001, and I am sure they were together for a spell after that. Did they ever even announce a break-up???

their last show was oct 31st 2001. that's when they announced that they would never play together again. they as in chris and rich (brotherly love i guess). the line up now is as follows:

Chris and Rich (who are originals)
Mark Ford and Eddie Hawrysch (who both joined the BCs right after Shake Your Money Maker. 'released' from the band around 98)
Sven Pipien (was in the BCs towards the end) on bass
Bill Dobrow (from Rich's band) on drums
